YouVersion Story
When a person is able to read or listen to the Bible in their heart language, God uses that opportunity to connect with them in a truly special, unique way. That's why YouVersion is working with publishers, Bible societies, and volunteers around the globe to help as many people as possible connect freely with God's Word, no matter where they live or what language they speak.
One member of the YouVersion community got to share the Bible with a woman who had never experienced it in her own language. When Ryan Golightly, a children's pastor, introduced himself to a woman who was doing community service at his church, he learned that she was a Buddhist from Thailand. He quickly searched to find her language on the Bible App and was able to show her God's Word in her language. She responded with gratitude and excitement, spending the rest of the day reading God's Word for the very first time.
Part of our long-term vision for the Bible App is that every person will be able to connect with the YouVersion community entirely in their own language, including Bible translations, menus and screen text, general communication, and even technical support. In addition to adding new versions in new languages, volunteers are making this heart language connection possible through their translation efforts. Because of the dedication of these volunteers, we hear stories like this over and over in the YouVersion community:

People in the YouVersion community are using the Bible App to engage with God's Word and share it with others, as He softens hearts and changes lives, literally all over the world.
