For people who wouldn’t walk through the doors of a church building, Church Online offers a non-threatening environment where they can seek God and explore their questions. And day after day, we’re privileged to see these people experience breakthroughs, finding hope and healing in the transformational power of Christ’s love.
We launched Church Online in 2006 after observing the power of online relationships in areas like video gaming communities, political causes, and Internet dating services. We wondered what God could do with an online community that was centered on bringing people closer to Him.
That question has been answered by individuals around the globe who’ve told us how their lives have changed at Church Online…people who were feeling empty and isolated; people who were confused and seeking; and people who have turned away from dangerous decisions and destructive patterns.
We’re continuing to draw new individuals to Church Online by leveraging social media such as Facebook and Twitter, targeting search engine ads to those seeking adult content, partnering with other ministries, and encouraging the growing Church Online community to invite the people they know. The Internet represents a vast mission field that’s as easily accessible as the nearest computer, and we’re excited to reach people from diverse cultures and backgrounds in a way that has limitless potential.
