LifeChurch.tv’s Central IT Team is looking for a highly talented, insanely passionate, Jesus follower, who wants to use their skills to impact and change the world as a Linux Systems Administrator!

LifeChurch.tv is one of the most innovative churches in the country and we are currently looking for a full-time Systems Administrator to grow with us. We are one church in multiple locations and are passionate about our missional use of technology. You Are:

• Great at solving large, complicated, and difficult technology problems
• All about focusing on details and getting things done
• Love to check things off a list, and sometimes add things that are already done just to check them off
• Excited about making systems faster, more reliable and more available
• Looking to dedicate your life to something that is making a real difference on a global scale

You Should Be:

• An excellent communicator (especially in writing) with serious time management skills
• A team player who is willing to do whatever it takes to make the team successful
• Skilled in Linux system administration, including configuration, trouble-shooting, and automation
• Fluent in systems automation tools such as Puppet and Capistrano and scripting languages such as Python or Bash
• Experienced with web servers and load balancers (nginx, HAProxy and Varnish) and high availability systems such as Corosync and Pacemaker
• Very strong with SQL, particularly MySQL and PostgreSQL with special attention in the areas of scaling, redundancy and performance management
• An expert with running high-use services, including requirements and capacity analysis, service configuration, and change management

You Will Be:

• Working in tandem with the LifeChurch.tv Network Operations Team and Team Digerati
• Managing schedules and duties in order to efficiently meet the needs of the overall organization in pursuit of its mission to reach the world for Christ
• Evaluating new technologies and assisting with the planning and design of system architecture to allow rapid scaling to meet demand
• Working with a team on all LifeChurch.tv web properties to perform system admin duties
